Fang (cont.)

I am still reading Fang and where I am currently in the book you get a different view of the characters. Max is becoming more careless and a little selfish; Gazzy, Angel, and Iggy become more their own flock and very much dislike Max. Angel is now giving orders and Max is angry. Fang and Dylan are having heated arguments about Max and the rest of the flock. The flock think that Max and Fang just care about themselves not their "love" instead of the rest of everyone. There is a lot of drama going on right now. The flock get attacked by Erasers, werewolf like creatures, and are crucially injured, with Max and Fang in the wind. Max is still dealing with Dylan being her "other perfect half" and what Fang means to her.

The thing I like about the part where I am is that they celebrate everyone in the flocks birthdays. They each gave everyone a present and cut cake and had a special time. They were a vast cheerful family, until Jeb, an old friend, and Dylan payed them a visit. Them coming just ruined the magnificent time they were having. Dylan was coming in between Fang and Max; Jeb was coming in between the flock and Max.

The thing I didn't like was that they didn't explain very well what the Erasers looked like and how they acted. It vaguely said, "... with their sharp claws...", so you kinda assume its like a werewolf or a hell hound. It would be nice to actually be able to visualize what these Erasers look like so you get the general feel of what terror they bring upon the characters.

Hell Hound: are aggressive, fire-breathing canines of extrapalaner origin. Specimens are frequently brought to the material to serve evil beings, and many have established indigenous breeding populations. A hell hound resembles a large, powerfully built dong with short, rust-red or reddish-brown fur; its markings, teeth, and tongue are sooty black. It is easily distinguished from normal hounds by its red, glowing eyes. A typical hell hound stands four and a half feet high at the shoulder and weighs 120 pounds.
